Purple Jadeite comes from Turkey unlike most of the other jadeites we have. This material is no longer mined as the mine was closed as no more purple jadeite was found in the area. This material was sourced from miners who used to work the area and still carry some rough material, so for the time being I am able to get a hold of it and have a few pieces here but this may not always be the case.

Hardness- 6.5-7.5 Mohs scales
