Production Times
Updated 18/06/2024
**Please note:- We are shipping orders out on our regular two days per week (Tuesdays and Fridays). Our current wait time is around 5-8 weeks for plastics, 10-13 weeks for more complex orders.**
We have been working on reducing our production time, and currently delrin/PTFE orders are shipping significantly quicker than our more complex orders. We still run a first come first served production queue; orders are still beginning manufacture in the order they are received but we work on batches of orders at a time, and more simple plastic orders are quicker to complete and are being shipped sooner.
Our production queue is constantly changing, and the length of time needed to complete orders depends on the complexity of each order in the queue.
- - Basic delrin and PTFE pieces are generally simpler, and are quicker to complete.
- - Multiples or large size delrin/PTFE will take longer.
- - Inlay pieces have multiple materials involved and are generally more complex.
- - Metal pieces depends on the size, style and metal ordered, but generally are more complex pieces.
- - Stone pieces take the longest; the manufacture of them is more complex and generally takes significantly longer.
- - Fragile or fractious stones may have an increased length of time; this is as the material has a higher chance of breaking during manufacture and needing to be remade.
- - Custom wax carvings depends on many different factors such as complexity of the carving, processing time at the foundry, etc, we will provide an up to date timeline at the time of ordering and will update later when we send the wax to the foundry.
Russell works on the stone items exclusively, Gemma helps with the polishing the plastics, this is another reason plastic orders are shipping sooner.
If you have ordered a ready to ship piece (it will have ready to ship in the title) then your order will ship on our next shipping day, the above information does not apply to ready to ship items.
