A very nice dark blue jadeite with high translucency to it, this is the most highly sort after jadeite from Guatemala and the most rare blue colour. Comes from the Motagua River Valley in Guatemala, which is the location that the ancient Mayans used to collect their prized jadeite from. All of the jadeites we have from Guatemala are hand mined without the use of explosives or machinery.
